You have many opportunities to participate in activities that are not strictly academic. These extra- and co-curricular programs are fun, and many enrich both the college experience and the post-graduation résumé.
Student Leadership Colloquium
A colloquium is an academic conference or seminar.
The Student Leadership Colloquium (SLC) introduces you to new concepts and theories of leadership, and helps you improve your leadership skills. You will have opportunities to meet professionals in a variety of educational and career fields.
- Provide you with an environment in which you can develop your leadership skills.
- Enable you to strengthen the foundations of your organizations.
- Create opportunities for you to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
- Encourage you to become involved in leadership activities.

Methods for Building and Sustaining Your Own Archive

You will be introduced to the realm of archives in personal, community, and institutional settings. You will learn basic archiving skills and how to design a workflow for building your own archive, to deepen and expand your creative and/or research process.

Memories, Manifests and their Applications

In this second workshop we will deepen our exploration of archives through an interactive dialogue about where and how archival practice manifests in our everyday experience.
Archival Texts: Preservation through Poetics™
April 6, 2021 | 7:00 – 8:30 pm
This workshop will introduce you to the concept of archival texts. You will discover how archival texts can counteract the fleeting nature of memory by turning intangibles into documents. You are encouraged to bring a significant memory or special document for inspiration.
